What We Believe

  • We believe in the One Triune God existing eternally in the Persons of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of Christ, the virgin birth, the substitionary atonement, the necessity of the blood, and the literal resurrection Christ from the grave by His own power.
  • We believe the Holy Spirit is a Person, actively working today to convict unbelievers and to guide believers into sanctification.  We believe that the sign gifts were given to confirm the Word of God and therefore ceased after the completion of the New Testament.
  • We believe in the literal creation of the world by the spoken word of God in six twenty-four hour days.
  • We believe that Satan is a real person and that he is actively working to blind mankind to the truth.
  • We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Bible, God’s Holy Word, preserved through the Masoretic Text of the Old Testament and the Textus Receptus of the New Testament, of which the King James Version is a faithful and accurate translation.  The Bible is our only authority for faith and practice.
  • We believe man in his natural state is dead in sins and can only be saved grace through faith apart from any work.
  • We believe that Christ died for all men and offers salvation to all men, but it is the individual’s  choice to receive or reject the gift of salvation.  We do not believe that God has elected some people to salvation and others to damnation.
  • We believe that God has given every believer the privilege of being a witness to the Gospel and must be obedient to Christ’s commission to preach the Gospel.
  • We believe that every individual will give account to God of themselves and therefore must be at liberty to follow and worship God or not.
  • We believe that having the gift of eternal life means that salvation cannot be lost or returned; when a person accepts Christ as their Savior, they are kept by His power for all eternity.
  • We believe that Biblical baptism is the immersion of a professing Christian in water, publicly identifying them with the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.
  • We believe that an accurate interpretation of scripture leads us to conclude that, though God has  not changed, He has dealt differently with man at different times in history with these times being accurately described as dispensations.
  • We believe in the pre-tribulation rapture of the church and the pre-millenial return of Christ to earth to establish a literal kingdom.
  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of the believers to life eternal and of unbelievers to eternal condemnation.
  • We believe that the church consists of local congregations of believers and each must be free to follow the guidance of Christ alone. To maintain this autonomy they must abstain from denominational affiliation.
  • We believe that Christians should maintain a separation from sin and sinful influences because God has saved us from sin by His grace.
  • We believe marriage is defined by God as being between one man and one woman. Any sexual activity outside of such a marriage is a perversion of God’s design.
  • We believe that God only created two sexes (genders), male and female, which are equal in their standing before God but different in their responsibilities in both the home and the church.
